FAQs

We negotiate directly with trusted brokers to book high-paying freight, optimize your routes, and handle all rate confirmations and paperwork.

You can get on the road in as little as 24 to 48 hours once your compliance, insurance, and onboarding paperwork are complete.

We offer flexible, short- and long-term rentals for Dry Vans, Reefers, and Flatbeds, all fully maintained and inspection-ready.

We conduct thorough background checks, verify CDL-A credentials, review safety records, and handle full compliance onboarding.

No. We operate with zero forced dispatch. You always retain final approval on all loads, routes, and rates before booking.

We charge a low, flat percentage per load with transparent weekly invoicing—no hidden fees or long-term contracts required.

Absolutely not. You are the owner of your truck, and you make the final decisions. Our dispatchers will find the best-paying loads based on your preferred lanes, weight limits, and home-time requirements. We present the options to you, and you decide which load to take. We never force you into a market you want to avoid.

We manage the entire administrative process so you can focus strictly on driving. From filling out tedious broker setup packets and requesting insurance certificates (COIs) to signing rate confirmations, our team acts as your dedicated back-office. We ensure all paperwork is processed rapidly so you never miss out on a good load.

Yes. Complete transparency is a core value at Freight Grit. You will always receive the original, unaltered rate confirmation directly from the broker or shipper. Our dispatch fee is strictly based on the true gross pay of the load, ensuring there are never any hidden fees or skimming.

Yes, we actively protect your time and bottom line. If you are held up at a facility, our team immediately contacts the broker to document the delay and negotiate your rightful detention pay. We also handle claims for layovers, lumpers, and TONU (Truck Order Not Used), ensuring you are compensated when a shipper or broker falls short.

Onboarding with us is simple and fast. To get started, we require:

  • An active MC/DOT Authority

  • A completed W-9 Form

  • Certificate of Insurance (Typically $1M Auto Liability and $100K Motor Truck Cargo)

  • Notice of Assignment (NOA) from your factoring company (if applicable)

  • A signed Freight Grit Dispatch Agreement

Yes, we work with both seasoned fleets and owner-operators who have just received their active MC authority. While some brokers have 30-day or 90-day aging requirements, our dispatchers have strong relationships with a network of brokers and shippers who are willing to load new authorities, keeping your truck moving from day one.
